bucking under hard acceleration et al (long)

Hi everybody,
1999 9-3 5spd stock 50k miles
Recently I had IAC replaced by dealer. Since then, upon cold start (i.e. after sitting all night) the idle goes to 2k and won't settle down to ~1k for about a minute). It's gotten better since the day it got back from the shop a few days go but definitely hasn't gone away.
Also, when shifting at high rpm (~5k) the tach needle will hang around 5k rpm instead of dropping back down immediately. It didn't do this before, and I am confused because my car is a T5 which does not have a motorized throttle, correct? So this is not normal behavior?
Finally, when the car is under hard acceleration, it begins to buck. This only happens when the factory boost gauge is planted in the orange/red border and the power *really* comes on...that's the only time it bucks. It's perfectly normal (boost, driveability, behavior, etc) under all other driving conditions.
Other misc info, plugs are about 1k miles old, the dealer installed them when he did an oil change at the same mileage. No other problems prior to this other than repeated CEL's for my gas cap not being on tight, but that's been going on for more than a year with none of these current symptoms. TIA for any replies. I am going to the shop in the next couple days as soon as I get the chance.
