Don't know if it is possible, but TechII might have an option for that for the SS. Might be worth the inquiry. Being that each dealership has a different understaning of the TechII options, it might be worth asking a few different dealers. If anyone finds out that one dealership knows how to change the setting, please post so that others can use the information to instruct the other dealers. If there is a specific code in the TechII, please find that out.
On a similar note:
The dealer in ATL told me that disabling the shift up light was not an option in TechII. If anyone knows for sure that this is an option, please post with code attached. Sure would like to get rid of that using TechII if possible. This is just another reason why this board is so invaluable. Remember, some dealers didn't even know about MTF0063 for a while without a part code...We can help hold the the dealers hand through it.
