Hey MM, I can't beleive these guys bothered to post just to give you the business on why you should have replaced it earlier. Oh well.Isn't that what mothers/fathers are for? I too am staring at a fine working 6 year old battery in my saab 99 base with 126K miles in cold climate-(Maine) gee imagine that. Last week as things would have it while awaiting for my direct ignition cassette to be replaced I scanned thru the owners manual about replacing the battery. There really wasn't anything there that caught my eye besides a little common sense of hooking up the red to positive etc.
so I think you're pretty safe. In choosing a battery best to go more juice & cranking power than saving a couple of bucks for less- take care.
