I have done this a couple of times on my 94 SE, but the 00 9-3 must use a different tensioner with no alignment hole for a drill bit or pin to be placed and the spring must be much stiffer. The tensioner does not want to budge even when using a foot and a half long ratchet extension bar. I dont want to break anything. Does it relax the same way when pushing the bar toward the firewall? Any way to lock it in the relaxed position? Am I going about this correctly?
One difference is all the extra wires and crap affixed to the airbox that must be removed on the 00 9-3 SE.
