I know that sometimes it's best not to be cheap because you might probably cause some $damage...
But if it were me I'd probably high-temp epoxy the chip back in place and sand smooth: clean all the engine surfaces nearby, bolt the cracked-one back on, start the car, run it for a few seconds, shut it down, pull the DI back off and look for signs of electrical arching (light puffy smoke-type marks, pitting, etc...). If none, try a run for a minute or so, then check again. Then try a run around the block and check. You might be okay at low temps and then have a problem when things heat-up.
High voltage does wierd stuff sometimes and if the integrety of important insulation is compromised you might be out of luck...but then again, you may have cracked something that was mainly for cosmetic fill-in.
