Funny thing, I have sets of both types of wheels you described. The 9-5 Aero Klingon (hatchet) wheels you described on my 9-5 Aero. I can agree with you, they are very tough. In the most of 5 years I have owned the car, there isn't a ding or bend in sight and I have hit plenty of pot holes recently in LA. The double 3 spokes I installed on my '03 9-3 convertible two days ago so I can't tell you how tough those are yet. I like the older version of the double 3 spoke much better than the EVOs, enough in fact to pay the extra bucks without any second thoughts.
