reverse grinding- putting it into gear doesn't help Posted by WaSAABi [Email] (#2522) [Profile/Gallery] (more from WaSAABi) on Mon, 20 Jun 2005 10:13:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
hello all-
I've got a 1996 900 with a manual transmission and a brand new clutch. Just lately, as the temps around here in Colorado have been climbing up to 90 or so, I have been having a lot of grinding when I put the car into reverse. I have tried the solution posted elsewhere on here, that is, to put the car into a forward gear first and then put it into reverse. This seems to help a bit but it doesn't completely stop the grinding. I am getting that sinking feeling that something will need to be replaced.
Does anyone know what might be causing this? I'd like to head into East of Sweden with as much info as possible.
