They are cheap, unlike IC hoses, so don't worry about it -- you can just go pick it up if you find that you need it later (or get it in advance and return if you end up not needing it). That said, if you're using the stock Viggen inlet hose, you will likely need a rad hose too, because it gets in the way.
When I installed my intercooler, I didn't have the stock inlet hose, so I ended up building it out of spare elbows. This gave me two advantages: it fit fine with the old radiator hose (just barely touching it), and eliminated that nasty bend you get when connecting the Viggen hose to a GT25 turbo.
The fan shroud doesn't have to be cut for the Viggen hose, it fits just fine.
And the aluminium pipe from the intercooler to TB is fine.
Finally, the good part about intercooler removal is that it gives you an easy access to the radiator drain plug ;]
