No matter how much you limit the car's performance, it can still be wrecked if the driver doesn't have a head on his shoulders. And if he has enough common sense, he should be able to restrain himself until he gains more experience.
If you're really worried, why not get an older NG900 with a low pressure turbo or even an N/A engine. You can get the latter for 3 grand these days.
