Greetings,
These seem to be the last obstacles before I finally attempt to remove the timing cover.
How can I lock the crankshaft in place so that I remove the bolt ? this is an automatic and according to Haynes I need to remove the flywheel protection plate from underside of the transmission bellhousing... I took a good look around and don't seem to see this plate...
Lastly, does anybody have any tips on getting the alternator off ? looking at the bolt underneath the intakes, something tells me this is going to be little rough....
Is it advisable to pry the valve cover gently ? are there any safe spots to do it ?
many thanks, tomasz
