because no split temp controls. Motor for heat flaps is on the (LHD) passenger's side of the consle behind the kick plate, partially hidden behind the stereo amplifier if you have the upgraded SE sound system. You can see the heat flap linkage on the passenger's side as it moves. With the side panel off, do the AUTO+OFF recalibration. You should see the linkage move through its full range of motion. If it isn't moving, remove the motor (leave the wires connected) and 1) see if the linkage will move manually, and 2) recalibrate again to see if the motor is running in your hand. The motor that selects vent position is in the center of the console behind the ACC (must remove ACC assembly to get at it IIRC). You can pull it out and operate the vent selection mechanism with a flat-blade screwdriver to see if something is binding.
I did a longer post on this process a few years ago, and others have also gone into more detail. So a search may help.
