and it doesn't look great, but just score a piece of cardboard so that you can fold it in half to fit over the existing visor. When you need additionals coverage on the side window, just slide it over for extended sun protection. I invented this when I had the same issue, used folded up maps, but that didn't work as well because they kept falling. If you have to extend the cardboard so tha more than half is hanging over the edge, then put weights on the inside of the opposite end, like taped on coins to keep it from falling off.
P.S. I think the reason the visors are so short is because the car is so narrow. Sliding visors, or ones with extenders would solve this, and I think Saabs should have them.
