Mine has a burl dash, however this is NOT standard equipment.
The Talladega Edition option was a $500 option which added the following:
Taupe leather seats and door inserts over a black dash and doors, charcoal carpet.
Chrome door interior handles
Sport suspension
16" SuperAero 5-lug wheels with Micheline Pilot 205-55-16's
Chin spoiler, body colored
Rear spoiler, body colored
Upper bumper surfaces painted body color (standard was matte black)
Bumper strips replaced with black strips (standard was chrome)
3-door, 5-door and convertible were offered.
Three colors offered: Black, Cayenne Red, and Silver.
Like I said, I've added the burl walnut dash when I purchased the car in August, 1997. I've also added:
Forge BPV
Viggen crossflow intercooler (original enters and exits the same end, far less efficient)
Abbott ECU -- now 230 hp (standard was 185hp)
Abbott lowering springs
Abbott VRK (lower sress bar, steering rack clamp, brace bar from steering rack/firewall to right wheel well, suspension bushes replaced with heim joints -- copied often, but the original)
SAS rear swaybar
Zimmerman Crossdrilled rotors
Saab Sport 2.5" stainless exhaust
AutoMeter boost gauge on the A-pilar.
More Talladega pics.
