Liz,
I have a base 2000 9-3, now with 53k miles. Bought it at 23k miles, but it was CPO, (certified pre-owned Saab Warranty). I have had a good amount of warranty work done, (turbo, entire ac system, mcc panel, right wheel bearing, trim tape, hood badge, pcv udpates, lugs nuts). Thank the higher powers that the car was under warranty, otherwise I would seriously be broke, and making car payments. Now, this stuff below is work I expected, and don't feel bad about, but I just recently replaced the battery, and did the serpentine belt and idler pulley (that was about 500$ total, at the dealer.
I would NOT buy one of these unless it was still under warranty for a little while.
THe cpo warranty is awesome, and the Saab dealers I have worked with have been great and done great work. With the CPO, everytime you bring the car in, they give you a loaner/rental car to use too which is awesome.
I concur with Mike though, that at that price and mileage, it is a bit high, especially without leather.
Good luck.
