Shawn-
Thanks for the advice. The smoke tends to be brown (as seen in the mirrors). It's definitely not blue oil smoke. And since it only smokes under sudden high boost, I think it's probably related to running rich. I haven't noticed any smoke at startup at all.
So far the stuttering hasn't recurred, but I have noticed an odor when I pull into my garage at home. I assumed it was hot brakes or something, but I'll pay more attention today - maybe it's the ceramic burning up in the DI.
The car is due for the 90K service next month, so the plugs very likely could be in need of replacement. I know there's not a new DI waiting for me anywhere unless I buy it myself. I've been thinking about getting a spare - 90K miles seems to be a lot for a T7.
The dealer here (Wichita, KS) isn't very good, so I hope it's nothing serious. I really don't trust them to work on the car, but there aren't any decent independant mechanics here either. Oh well. :)
Thanks again!
Jeff J
