Hey guys,
This I find very odd period. I got an alignment with my 15 inch snows on. The alignment came out well and the steering wheel might have been a degree or 2 off....so no biggie. Well right before the alignment, I replaced the two tie rod ends. In order to do the alignment I needed a new adjustment screw (the other one was rusted really bad). So I had them install that...they used plenty of never seize on each end so that I wouldn't have to replace it again. Here's where stuff gets strange. So I take my car up to Quebec with a full size spare on the left side of the trunk. The steering wheel is way off to the left like 10 or 15 degrees maybe even more after driving like that for 500 miles. So I take out the spare and it doesn't get any better. I put the spare in the trunk on the right side for about 600 miles, it feels a bit better but then moves to then the steering moves to the right. It stays this way for a bit. Now here's the really funny thing. I drive up to Maine in the nice 60 degree weather. On the way up the steering wheel goes completely straight and then to the left a bit off kilter maybe 5 degrees. By the time I am home it is off to the right again by about 10 or 15 degrees. The car doesn't pull but that's where the steering wheel settles. I am sick of it already because this has never happened before in the 2 Saabs I have owned. Right now it has 16" Viking wheels on with Hankook K106 tires. Those tires have maybe 20,000 miles on them. What should I look into? Or should I just dive in and get another alignment? Thanks guys!!!
