I need an ignition switch

The ignition switch on my 1996 900s does not automatically spring back to the ON position after starting the car. I have been fine with doing that manually, however i cannot let anybody else drive the car i.e. the carwash people.
I also have a 1985 900 that is pretty much dead to the world. Is the broken part interchangeable between clssic and new gen. 900's. I don't have hundreds of dollars for a replacement.
Thanks for any advice
