For what it's worth, the hang up in revs when you shift is perfectly normal. The T7 ECU throttle-by-wire system purposely keeps the revs up when shifting. Supposedly it helps with emissions issues in some way. But it definitely makes it seems like you've got a lazy foot on the gas pedal. I'm so used to it by now that I almost feel like I have to blip the throttle on upshifts in my wife's "normal" car since the revs drop quickly.
