You’re in luck!!! SAABS are devils in the snow, when we get 12 inches up here in northern NJ, I go out driving looking for the perfect empty unplowed parking lot. That’s where I have always practiced my snow driving. The others are right about tires, you can’t use those sand cruisers up here, even though you have good front wheel drive youll be all over the road. If you bought a mid priced all season with a bit more beefy tread you’d be set. I would recommend Gislaved Tires, they are made in Germany and the best wearing snow tire you can find out there, but since you may only use them once they are too expensive to be rolling in south Florida streets for.
First sign of snow fall easy your way to the closest empty parking lot and practice hard turns, braking and stopping. Don’t be afraid to speed it up or do heavy braking. Its only when you "feel" your cars limitations will you know how to handle winter driving. Have fun with it, I love carving doughnuts in the snow with my Saab.
Have a safe trip!!!
