195/65 snow tires on 900s?

My penurious daughter need snowtires for her 900s. The books all list 185/65/15 or 195/60/15 for that car.
She is just starting a new job and too broke to afford a set of new tires. However a co-worker has a set of 4 195/65/15s in good shape for $80.
Does she dare use them? Once upon a time, I would have one so without hesitation, but clearance is tighter on modern cars, and suspensions fussier.
