OK I found out its not my gas guage that is off. Its accurate. However, its the actual gas level in the tank. When I remove the cap to put gas in, air rushes into the tank. Like its under a severe vacuum. As Im fueling, the gas pump will automatically stop after less than 5 gallons. Usually around 3 gallons. Then I have to 'force' the rest in by barely squeezing the pump handle and letting gas basically trickle in. It took 15 minuts to get over 10 gallons of gas in the tank.
What could be causing this? Is somthing pinched or not letting the tank 'breathe'? It never used to suck air in when I removed the gas cap and that started about the same time as not being able to completely fill the tank. Im trying to find a good starting spot to address this issue as its no fun to stand out in zero degree weather and fill a gas tank for 15 minutes. heh
Any help is appreciated :)
