The parts are same slave and master cylinder Saab has used for years. The slaves rarely fail, but the master cylinders do fail on occasion. Replacing the master cylinder is about a one hour job and about $120 part. In 190K on my 86 9000T I had 3 master cylinders....they lost the ability to generate pressure, each time in very cold weather.
I would say go for it on the hydraulic clutch kit. I had the opportunity on my car 2 years ago, but decided not to b/c I had to spend $$ on some other issues on the car at the same time....I've regretted it ever since.
