hard to start when cold or sitting for a while Posted by Joe [Email] (#444) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Joe) on Tue, 8 May 2007 19:10:11 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
i have a 2000 93 convertible with the 2.0 high output turbo. The car runs perfect and starts within 1 second when warm. I have trouble starting it when it has been sitting for approximately more than 5-7 hours. It gives me difficulty starting almost every morning. however, on occasion, it will start up fine in the morning. It spins with no sign of starting, the fuel pump does it's thing when I turn on the key, just spins. finally, it will start out of the blue. Sometimes 5 - 10 minutes later. Well, this morning it will not start at all. Please Help. This has been going on for almost 2 weeks. The only correlation that I can make is that I sprayed some armor all under the hood about 4-5 days before this started. I dumped in some fuel injection cleaner a couple of days ago in hopes that it would help - nothing. I also only use Shell V-Power gas in it.
Thanks. Joe
