Well, I got the dash apart, took out the instrument cluster and heard the rattle or little lights. 5 of the lights were no longer in their sockets. Strange. As well, the cluster was held in place with two abnormal screws, indicative of someone having fiddled around in there before. The title, obtained by the previous owner with a date of 5/07 shows the mileage to be 70,000 or so, but the car reads 184,000. I suppose there is the chance that the cluster was changed and the miles not sorted out correctly? Most of the car looks much younger than 184000 so maybe another call to the PO is in order.
With the bulbs in place the ABS light is on. Oil light still does not work. I've heard this can be due to a bad sender. I'll check that out next.
