Struts Repaired and now bad brakes...

Just got my car back from an indy mechanic. They replaced my struts as well as my control arm bushings and alignment. I drive it home and notice that it takes more effort than usual to come to a complete stop with the brakes. The car does stop but this is noticeably different than the car I las drove three days ago. The indy says he'll look at it again tomorrow and nothing leaps to my mind about why the repairs I had done would affect the brakes. Any ideas here?
