Suspension swap Posted by Dan [Email] (#2459) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Dan) on Thu, 27 Mar 2008 18:35:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Well, today I swapped out my suspension; removing the crappy, worn-out '95 set up with the later kit from genuine saab. Seems the process is best completed by removing or lowering the sub frame, right? well, given that only 6 of the bolts would move, I was a bit stuck. Driver's side 18MM bolt (the one in the middle) subsequently cost me two regular sockets and made me purchase an impact socket for kicks. Used the impact wrench, breaker bar...everthing I had. That thing did not move. In the end I was able to swap the ARB all the same but please, if someone else has this problem, touch base so I can relay what not to try and the inevitable.
Car feels almost TOO solid, when compared to the slosh-belly it was yesterday. My what new bushings can do to a car.
