Any thoughts as to why my 96 900seT is getting 16-17mpg regardless of whether it's mixed-city or all highway miles....and it seems to smell a bit "rich" at times when I'm stopped at a traffic-light. Maybe change to new plugs and insure the gaps're correct? I can drive 120-miles in the interstate at 65-70mph, and still I'm getting about the same mpg-highway as I do driving the 6-miles of Interstate and three miles of suburban streets commuting to work each way.

When I bought it last Summer, the best I got was about 22mpg; and for the last 6-months or so it's been reading on the SID at about 16-17mpg. And my gas-purchase-and mileage log averages show about the same. I would think that I should see SOME improvement in MPG when I'm running a constant highway speed on a long trip.
