and Radio. Have 00 9-3 SE with factory wood panel with pieces breaking off and want to replace it with new Saab replacement wood panel. The pieces that have broken off reveal the gray substrate so this was a stick on item from the factory. The substrate looks just like the plastic factory panel on my 94 900 SE.
I can probably remove all of it (wood stickie) with a hair dryer without removing anything, but archival posts I looked at recommended removal of the whole panel including the plastic substrate. There are two screws near the steering wheel that appear to hold the panel on and that is all that is shown on my EPC. I would think there is more holding this on than just two screws at the bottom of the panel. Am I right in this assumption? Anyone ever do this?
Also there are no chemicals included with the Saab replacement kit like 3m accelerator, cleaner etc., just the sticky tape on the back of the new panel, how best to prep surface?
