Can O2 sensors be cleaned/refreshed?

Will have to get the 95 900S smogged before being able to get tags. It has 230,000 miles on it (all mine except for 1.5 from factory and miles that indy's put on for test drives after service).
Car barely passed 2 years ago (had to put a new cat on it). Anticipating the worst, I want to make sure it passes. I've used Techron, changed the oil, etc. but I don't recall how old the O2 sensor is. I've heard they can be cleaned, but I don't remember how?
Any suggestions, short of replacing with a new O2 sensor? TIA
