thanks for the follow-up!

to clarify, i've owned the car since it was new (sept 2001)... have had the DIC replaced twice by the dealer, once for no reason that i could discern (no CEL and car ran fine) and once 2 years ago (summer 06) when car wouldn't start. the unit that was in there was a TK3.6 installed by the dealer and its serial number is outside the recall range. the 'used' unit i put in is also a TK3.6 with its serial number also outside the recall range.

called the local dealer and they don't have -any- DI Cassettes and won't get any until mid-september, saying they're back-ordered at saab.

went to eeuroparts but can't find the DIC anywhere (only the bolts), so a link directly to the part would be much appreciated!!!

and, yes, i have always run only NGK plugs, the OEM platinum ones, check the gap and install them myself, usually changed every 25k miles (unnecessary, i know)
