Hi everyone.
I have a 96 SE turbo, that has the check engine on forever.
I have checked and replaced almost every sensor.
but I am now wondering if the replacement O2 sensor I used on the is the right type.
I have replaced the Front O2 sensor twice and i still get crappy gas mileage. I have noticed on the bosch web page, the made a Thimble type of O2 sensor and a planor type sensor which is a flat top.
I know the front O2 sensor has to have the "hole" in it.
The replacements I have put in are the flat planor type. I was wondering if it needs to be the round ended thimble type?
I even took the car to a Saab dealer, because it wouldn't pass an E-test.
they spent 5 hours and couldn't find what was wrong.
I have a parts car and a second car (94, only one O2 sensor) so all the other sensors I swapped out, came from a working car.
Just am really stumped on this one. grasping at straws now.
thanks
