Hey Tommy-
Your best bet is to pick up a set of the radio extract prongs and pop the whole headunit out. Go through all of the wires connecting to the main harness - it sounds like you may have a bit of corrosion, or at the very least, a loose connection or two. If it's the radio itself, then it may be a bit more complex. I helped a family member with almost the exact same problem with a Maxima equipped with the Bose headunit. After pulling it apart, I discovered a hairline crack in one of the main circuit boards in the unit itself. Don't ask me how...but, suffice to say, we replaced it with a nice Alpine unit. Good luck!
