"Coolant Level Low" sensor problem?

I drive a 1998 Saab 900S, four-cynlinder, 2.3 liter non-turbo. For the past two weeks now I've been getting a "Coolant Level Low" message on my dashboard screen, yet there appears to be no evidence of any leaks and every time I check the coolant level in the small plastic resevoir tank, it's ALWAYS at the level where its supposed to be when the engine hasn't been running and cold. Plus the temperature gage on the dashboard is always set in the middle range (where it's supposed to be) whenever the car is running and fully warmed up, so it's not like it's pushing the top hot/over-heated range. Other than that, the car runs perfectly fine.
Should I be concerned? Is it really worth my time and money to have this problem looked into and corrected? Has anyone else had this problem?
Any advice and feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
