The V6 engine is ok when timing belt and all pulleys are replaced at proper intervals.
The B204L engine does not have sludge problems like the B205/235 from 99/2000 and up.
The B234I engine in the 900, I have seen many of them (about 15-16) with worn out balance chain sprockets and chain which could lead to a complete failure if the chain breaks and take out the timing chain or if the metal pieces from sprockets wear out the oil pump and timing cover so that your engine is running on low oil pressure.
I have yet to see any B204L engines with worn balance chain sprockets, why, I don't know.
