Mark, The turbo by-pass valve is an easy DIY fix. As for testing it I use a handheld vacuum tester (mighty-vac), But you can can put 12" piece of hose on there and suck with your mouth, you will be able to suck up a vacuum and then let the hose seal on your tounge and it should hold. Kind os a primitive method but it will work, if the valve is ng you won't be able to suck a vacuum. Coldshot..............
