Regarding my clutch bleed. Anders, any good tips? Posted by bender [Email] (#268) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bender) on Tue, 9 Jun 2009 19:43:19 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My car is driveable. The clutch isn't as "stiff" since it does not give as much force. I would like to re-bleed it to be sure. There is no reason why it should not go back to the way it was before. Here are my questions: (I searched this board like a crazy man)
-I had accidentally fully removed my bleed valve on the transmission top, and the fluid started coming out, and so it filled with air. Is this a problem? Is it possible the slave cylinder got air in it because of that?
-If the slave has air in it, somehow, how to I get it out?
-Is there a way to bleed and get fresh fluid in the slave cylinder (without removing the transmission)? (JimBlake's famous question)
-And finally, when I reverse bleed, should I keep the clutch pedal from falling to the floor? Or do anything special with it, or simply leave it alone?
Thank you! I know this will be helpful for the archives here, some questions still unanswered.
Bender.
