Last week I posted about a short in the right rear and right front parking light circuit of my '99 9.3 which kept blowing the fuse. Well, it turns out that the license plate lights are also on that circuit and after isolating them I discovered that that was the problem. You can't see it until you take it apart but the wires that run by the hatch pull had shorted out against the handle bracket because of bracket corrosion. It ate through the wire insulation and grounded out the circuit. So I wrapped the offending wire in electrical tape, put it all back together and no more problem. If you have an older 9.3 watch for this potential problem. I've also noticed that my 9.5 has a similar plate light design.
