I found it quite easy to do. The clamps can be squeezed open with a good pair of channel lock pliers and slid off. The vacuum hose is easy and you just pull it out. Remove the BPV. Reverse the procedure to install the new one. It took me all of 12 minutes including the time to go to my basement to get my channel locks from my workshop.
