Agreed, Steven. I'm having similar problem with the windshield wipers for my '98 900S. It's not that they won't go all the way back into the proper park position, it's that they sometimes work and somtimes don't. Earlier today I took my car to a Saab Specialist shop, and wouldn't you know it...they worked fine! When I explained the problem to him he told me that I either need a new stalk, or that the motor is going bad.

Let me ask: Have your wiper blades ever moved much slower than they should? Mine have, and the tech who worked on my car told me that that's evidence of the motor going bad. Looks like I'll simply have to deal with my issue until they stop working permanently as well.

I just hope that it's simply a bad contact point on the motor and not the motor itself for your sake, because that's NOT a cheap part!
