To answer the original request, where in the Central Locking Module for the SAAB NG900. I had the following symptoms, increasingly erratic behavior from the central locking, recently the central locking failed entirely, i.e. the remote fob would operate the alarm, but none of the doors would lock or unlock, I could unlock the driver's door with the key, but none of the other doors would activate, also the switch in the center console did nothing. From this I concluded that it was improbable that all 4 door actuators failed simultaneously, so it must be something common across all these different ways of activating the door locks. My conclusion was that the Central Locking Module had failed. I purchased a replacement on eBay for $15 with the following numbers on the part 4710 257/4050 5437. The next challenge, where is the CLM hidden? After much searching plus some clues from the internet, I can confirm is behind the carpet by the passengers right foot. (For LHD USA Saab 900 SE Turbo.) To get at it, remove the kick plate from the door way (the plastic trim piece that you step over), this is held in by clips, just give it a good tug. Next pull the rubber gasket away from the b-pillar to halfway up the a-pillar. Then remove the bolt that attaches the bottom of the dashboard though the carpet. (10mm bolt.) You should be able to lift up the carpet enough to get at the CLM, it's a bit tight, but I managed to replace it without further disassembly. The good news I now have perfectly working central locking.
