Did you say the problem is the the engine seems to loose power the longer you drive? There are a couple possibilities associated with that scenerio, but it's only speculation without knowing the full set of circumstance. However, a dirty fuel filter will often show no signs of trouble when the engine is first started, and as the engine runs debris that is settled on the bottom of the filter is stirred up and attaches itself to the filter element leaving you feeling like power is slowly being robbed the further/longer you drive. Also, a weakened fuel pump can sometimes deliver the same feel. If this were my car I would start with a complete tune-up, then move on to checking compression, fuel pressure, valve timing, etc. Good luck.
