change the oil and the filter regularly the imagined or real advantages of the top oils kinda even out, IMHO. Will some work a bit better in certain engines under a specific set of conditions? Probably. But I can't believe the difference is huge. The engine is still gonna wear out, sooner or later. And if if doesn't the rest of the car will.
IMHO, any name brand ACEA A3/B3 synthetic oil, with a good filter (Mobil 1, Pure 1, Mann) with both changed every 5,000 to 7,500 miles are all fine. You can do a longer interval, but I'm not convinced that works unless you do the filter at the mid-point of the drain interval. And if you're under there anyway you might as well put in new oil. It's not like the stuff is super expensive, especially when you get it on sale.
I normally get M1 or Castrol Syntech with a M1 or Pure 1 filter on sale and spend about $25. Works fine in all four of our Saabs.
