I am posting anonymously to protect my pride, what's left of it...
So I forgot to tighten up the drain plug on the tranny - it sat for a few months and I just didn't check it when I finally got it back in.
So the tranny sump ran dry. I noticed a whining last night - the sound of gears dying? I guess so ...
This morning I could get into reverse at all. I drained out the 1/4 litre that was in there and am flushing. After the first flush I still can't engage reverse. Any other tricks I might do to try and salvage this?
Thanks.
