I had the same problem twice and John Myers is probably right in your case. The orange relay in the relay box under the hood with the other relays is commonly the culprit. I found out searching on this site actually so there are other threads with this discussion. Ironically I think the orange relay is a relay that is supposed to monitor the lights operation, but causes the light not to work. lol.
I have since gone to junkyards to grab an extra few. I have also re-solder where the vertical circuit board is soldered to the base of the relay that has the pins on it that plug into the relay box. I had a friend solder it because he was around, but I don't think it takes much experience.
You just need to use something like toothpicks to spread the orange cap on the relay so the pins holding it on are released. You will then have full access to the circuit board inside. I have to run for now, but I also took pictures if you need any.
