You're right Noel. I have to specify that the lugs are hand-tightened on the alloy rims. I've had techs at C.T. tell me that they can specify the torque on their impact wrenches when tightening. I don't think they can do that can they?
I've only had a flat once where I literally had to stand on and jump on the wrench to get them loose because the lugs were tightened too much by some monkey. I do 'em myself now (and add antiseize as someone suggested, on the hub/alloy rim mating surfaces to make removal of the rim easier).
