Hellow everyone. Long time. Just getting back to Saab market after a few years and a Landrover Discovery (big mistake), BMW E30 (not as a bad of a mistake).

So I recently picked up a '95 900 non turbo for $1000.00 with 120,000 miles. The vehicle will not shift into gear and apparantly is not holding idle. According to the seller it is a linkage issue and some kind of idle switch or something is in the shifter. I am assuming I need to install a new linkage because the '95 had linkage issues? It sounds like I should be able to get the car running for under $1000.00. Either way if I spend $1000 and buy it for a $1000. Leaving the deal for $2000.00 sounds like a good investment. Anyone have any ideas with this? What I may be expecting? What steps should I start taking in getting it back on this road? Thanks for the all the help.
