I have the RainEx also - the ones without the metal frame. I love them. However, some other owners in colder climates have told me they sometimes get an unwiped area at the top of the windshield on the passenger side - this might be because the cold blade does not change shape quickly enough between the off position that requires it to be bent, and the 12-o'clock position that requires it to be straight.
Some people said the Bosch Icon does not have this issue. I just got those for my other car, but haven't experienced any rain with them, yet. Owners in Germany reported that those work very well, even at speeds above 200 km/h (130 mph).
