NG900 & OG93 Bulletin Board 1994-2002 | |
I am in the process of getting ready to pull my A/T to replace the main seal torque converter seal and axle seals in my 1998 900 SET. I have seen the Saab tool that is shaped like an L with a 50mm long 6mm bolt in the short side of the L shape. This tool holds the converter in place so it does not fall off during the removing and install. I need to know where this tool goes. I suspect that it is on the V shaped metal lip coming off the transmission where the rubber plug at the inspection plate. My car does not have a threaded hole there but I have read that some cars are not drilled and tapped and I must to that. I just want to be sure that is the place. If anyone can confirm this or tell me the correct place I would appreciate it. Thank you. Posts in this Thread:
