I really need to learn more about cars. I think you mentioned spraying fluid in the throttle body a couple of weeks ago and I thought to myself, That sounds easy enough, but it sounds like I could accidentally blow something up b/c I didn't (and still don't) know where the throttle body is and butane was my first thought when I contemplated starter fluid....
You guys were still very helpful. I wouldn't have ever guessed that the fuel pump was the problem, and it was nice not to be surprised when the mechanic called to tell me the prob was the fuel pump, just like you guys suggested. I think I got screwed though, the bill was $1,400. But- I have my Saab back, so I'm happy.
