I picked up some head bolts, but didn't end up using them. Since I already had the valve cover off, I went ahead and did the headbolt retorque as instructed from the Saab service bulletin.
After that, I checked all of the hose clamps and connections. I also replaced the upper radiator hose because it felt pretty squishy and had a small rub mark from where it was rubbing a metal flange.
I filled the car back up with coolant, got some flashlights out, and started it up.
It warmed up normally, and I checked for white smoke and felt the exhaust fumes, but they were dry. There were no leaks from the valve/block area either.
After about 8 minutes or so the coolant started seeping out of the reservoir cap. It wasn't boiling this time, just slowly seeping out, even though I filled it up correctly, and it looked like there was still some room in the top of the tank for expansion.
I shut the car off, and unscrewed the cap, and it did not make a hiss or feel like I was relieving any pressure.
I'm pretty stumped at this point. The only thing I can think of is maybe the water pump is not working? I also checked the oil, and I don't think that there is water in it, but it is difficult for me to tell.
